These pictures are of a sheep and a pigs heart. As you can see the pigs heart is a lot bigger then the sheep's heart. Me and Desi had a sheep's heart. It was really tiny compared to the other hearts. On the outside of the heart it had a lot of white fat on top of it. We cut it right down the middle and got to see the inside of the heart. We saw the the Aorta the Vena Cava the ventricles the veins and the arteries. The inside of the heart is very thick. With this dissection we just had to look at it and locate some of the hearts parts. Also we had to measure how long was some parts of the heart. On our measurements we were around 2 to 3 cm. Thats not very big, is it. Just imagine how big our heart is. I'm starting to like the anatomy of the heart. The heart for some reason is very interesting to me, but theres so many things that you have to know about the heart. Well still I had fun with the heart dissection. At least I know that I can handle stuff like this.
